  • Curb side pick-up for Congregate Lunches

Hi, this is Jeanie Johnson, center supervisor with the St George Active Life Center. Since our center is being closed for the time being, we have instituted a process to ensure our seniors can still get a meal. We will have a service where you can drive up to the center and pick up a frozen meal. Please spread the word to any seniors that may need a meal.

For a suggested donation of three dollars, we will bring a frozen meal to your car. Please call the center before 2 pm the day before to reserve a meal for the next day. The number you need to call is 435-256-6342. Please leave your name and phone number.

Meals can be picked up between 11:30 and 12:30 by driving your car to the entrance of the center. Our staff will bring the meal to your car. Stay Safe and well !

  • The Active Life Center is temporarily closing

    ACTIVE LIFE CENTER TEMPORARY CLOSURE

The COVID-19 virus has brought us a new set of problems, hurdles, and challenges that we must deal with. After much thoughtful discussion and consideration of our desire to be proactive in protecting our clients’ well-being, we will be closing the Active Life Center until further notice. The decision to reopen the center will be evaluated on a daily basis. Please look for updates on our status on our Facebook page (https://fb.me/StGeorgeActiveLifeCenter) or our website (http://coa.washco.utah.gov/st-george/).

Limited staff will be available at the center to run critical programs. The Meals-on-Wheels program will continue to run as usual in order to deliver the vital meals to our clients that need this service. The Dial-a-Ride program will continue to operate as well, with emphasis placed on medical appointments, pharmacy runs for meds, groceries, and other such essential services.

We urge you to place high emphasis on personal cleanliness: washing hands with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds and using hand sanitizer when washing is not available, extra sanitizing of your home and vehicles with anti-bacterial wipes and sprays.

Thank you for your adaptability during this critical time.
