Ukulele
Taught by an experienced music instructor, students will learn to play the ukulele. We have some ukes at the center that can be used on a trial/loaner basis, but students will need to purchase their own instrument. This is a weekly class.
Piano
Feel like playing a song? Working on a new song? Or need to relieve some stress? For whatever reason, play some tunes on our piano. The benefits of taking piano lessons as a senior citizen are numerous. Exercising the brain is a key component of keeping your mind sharp as you age. Piano lessons facilitate stretching our brain to think in new ways. We have often heard that seniors should get out and do things for fun and entertainment. Learning to play the piano just for fun is a great way to stay active, and entertain friends! Playing the piano can help keep hands and fingers limber and reduce the effects of arthritis. IF YOU’RE A TALENTED PIANIST OR ORGANIST & WOULD LIKE TO SHARE YOUR TALENT DURING LUNCH AT THE CENTER, PLEASE SEE BRIAN, THE CENTER SUPERVISOR, TO GET ON OUR ENTERTAINMENT CALENDAR!
